Biographical Profile

Richard Appiah Kubi, born on 18th March 1989, is a distinguished public administrator, traditional governance specialist, legal practitioner-in-training, and multidisciplinary scholar with extensive experience spanning chieftaincy administration, business management, theology, information technology, and law.

 

Early Life and Education

Richard began his elementary education at Odurokrom L/A Primary School. He commenced his junior high education at Mensakrom SDA Junior High School and later completed it at Christian School for the Child (CHRISFOTEC), Akropong Esaase. He proceeded to Osei Tutu Boys Senior High School, where he successfully completed his secondary education.

He pursued tertiary education at Sunyani Technical University, graduating in 2012 with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting. Following this, he undertook his National Service at the Duayaw Nkwanta Traditional Council, where he gained foundational exposure to traditional governance, customary law, and public administration.

 

Higher Education and Academic Achievements

Driven by a strong commitment to academic excellence, Richard furthered his studies at the University of Education, Winneba, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting Option) in 2015. He subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the University of Cape Coast in 2019, reflecting his scholarly interest in ethics, religion, and leadership.

 

In 2020, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Valley View University, followed by a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Business Administration from the Catholic University College of Ghana in 2023. Demonstrating academic versatility and professional ambition, he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2024.

Richard is currently undergoing professional legal training at the Ghana School of Law, Makola Campus, and is simultaneously pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)at the Catholic University College of Ghana.

Richard Appiah Kubi has over a decade of professional experiencein traditional governance and public administration.

 

July 2012 – Served as IT Officer at the Duayaw Nkwanta Customary Lands Secretariat, providing ICT support, digitization of records, and administrative services.

December 2013 – 2016 – Appointed Registrar at the Bechem Traditional Council under the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, Ahafo Region, where he managed chieftaincy records, dispute documentation, and council administration.

 

20162019 – Served as Registrar at the Nkoranza Traditional Council, contributing to regional coordination and traditional governance administration.

2019 – Present – Currently serves as Senior Registrar at the Atebubu Traditional Council, where he provides strategic administrative oversight. In addition to his core duties, he offers administrative support and coordination services to the Wiase, Abease, and Yeji Traditional Councils.
