Biographical Profile

Nana Akosua Amoakoa serves as the Sanaahemaa of the Atebubu Traditional Area. She is the daughter of Opanin Kwame Antwi of Kunkumso and Maame Ama Foriwaa of Boniafo, both of whom hail from the Atebubu jurisdiction. She traces her lineage to the Asona clan, one of the historic royal matrilineages of the Akan. Since her youth, Nana has worked in trading, beginning immediately after her Junior High School education.

Her entrepreneurial focus has evolved over the years, and she now specializes primarily in yam trading as a full-time occupation. Nana is blessed with two daughters, whom she continues to support with dedication, hard work, and a quiet strength reflective of her leadership role.

 

As Sanaahemaa, she carries essential responsibilities linked to palace housekeeping traditions, dignitary reception, ceremonial order, and cultural preservation. Through trade, humility, and consistent service, Nana Akosua Amoakoa remains a significant pillar within the Atebubu Traditional Area, guiding her community and family with grace and resilience.
