Biographical Profile

Augustina Akolgo was born on 21st June, 1995, in Bolgatanga (Bolga) in the Upper East Region of Ghana. She began her formal education at Old Tafo Methodist Primary School, where she laid a solid foundation for her academic development. She proceeded to Old Tafo M/A Junior High School for her basic education, where she demonstrated diligence, discipline, and commitment to learning. Upon successfully completing her junior high education, Augustina gained admission to Okomfo Anokye Senior High School, where she pursued her secondary education and completed in 2018. Motivated by a strong passion for education and science, Augustina enrolled at the C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education.

She successfully completed her tertiary education in 2025, graduating with a Second-Class Upper Division. Throughout her university years, Augustina exhibited notable leadership qualities and a strong spirit of service. She served as a Course Representative, advocating for the academic interests and welfare of her colleagues. Additionally, she held the position of Ladies’ Ministry President of the Student Christian Council (SCC), where she provided spiritual leadership, guidance, and mentorship to fellow female students.

 

As part of her professional training, Augustina undertook her teaching attachment, classroom observations, and internship at St. John’s Senior High Special Technical School, where she gained valuable practical teaching experience and further strengthened her pedagogical skills.

 

Currently, Augustina Akolgo serves as a Secretary at the Atebubu Traditional Council, where she contributes to administrative operations and supports traditional governance through effective record-keeping, coordination, and organizational expertise.
