Biographical Profile

Nana Akua Foah, known privately as Madam Akua Foah, serves as the Gyasewahemaa of the Atebubu Traditional Area. She occupies the Ahenemakuroso Stool and was enstooled on 9 March 2010 following the passing of her predecessor, Nana Akosua Gyamfua. 

 

Her leadership continues to uphold the role of the Gyasewahemaa as custodian of palace housekeeping traditions, cultural organization, and women’s mobilization in ceremonial affairs.

She hails from the Ahenemakuroso family, with her mother originating from Konkrompe in the Atebubu area and her father from Kwamang, affirming her strong ancestral link to the stool.

 

Nana is a hardworking farmer and trader who has relied on these endeavours as her main livelihood. She is unmarried and blessed with six children. Through humility, resilience, and devotion to duty, Nana Akua Foah continues to provide steady support to the traditional administration and contributes to both cultural preservation and social well-being within the Atebubu Traditional Area.
