Biographical Profile
Nana Appiah Gyan II, known privately as Daniel Appiah, serves as the third-ranking Linguist (Kyeame) of the Atebubu Traditional Area. He hails from the Amintease royal family of Atebubu in the Bono East Region. Nana has spent his life in service to his community through traditional leadership and livelihood pursuits.
Nana began his adult life as a herbal practitioner in Accra and later continued similar work in Kumasi. Upon returning to Atebubu, he transitioned into full-time farming, a role through
which he became widely respected and recognized as a suitable successor to the late Nana Yaw Danso.
His leadership journey began when he was first enstooled as Amintease Kyeame on the Kwabena Asante Stool, serving diligently from the year 2000. Through his dedication, trustworthiness, and loyalty to palace duties, he was later elevated to serve as Omanhene Kyeame, supporting the Paramount Chief directly in traditional communication and ceremonial matters.
On 10 August 2008, he formally swore the oath of allegiance to the Owusu Asare Stool and was officially inducted into the Atebubu Traditional Council. His recognition was subsequently documented under National House of Chiefs Serial Number 2618.
Nana Appiah Gyan II is married and blessed with eight children. His leadership is known for patience, cultural wisdom, humility, and firm commitment to preserving customs and advancing unity within the Atebubu Traditional Area
