Biographical Profile
HRM Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah [known in private life as Dr. Eric Yeboah-Asiamah] was born in the early 1980s to Mr. Kofi Kwaah [WK] and Obaapanyin Abena Serwaah Amponsah of the Atebubu Kyeremem Royal Family [Asona Clan]. He is the current Paramount Chief [Omanhene] of the Atebubu Traditional Area and President of the Atebubu Traditional Council in the Bono East Region of Ghana. He serves as Board Chairman of Baya Ghana Ltd and a FinTech distribution consultant working with three banks. In addition, he is Chairman of the Meko Bono Advisory Board and a member of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs.
Ohempon has a distinguished professional background in FinTech and corporate leadership. He was a key member of the pioneering team that launched MTN Mobile Money in Ghana, a transformative milestone in the country’s financial services sector in 2009. Before this landmark role, he built extensive commercial and managerial experience with Coca-Cola Ghana, Kinapharma Ltd, and a Procter and Gamble franchise [Sikelele Ltd] where he managed several regions across Ghana.
Since 2015, he has founded and led two companies: FullMile Consult, a boutique strategy, training, and research firm serving the FinTech industry; and FullMile Construction and Real Estate Development, which produces quality concrete blocks and other building materials and provides consultancy in building and construction. As Chief Executive Officer of these enterprises, he oversees a workforce of about twenty-five and has led teams to deliver numerous successful projects.
Beyond industry practice, Ohempon is actively engaged in thought leadership and scholarship. He is a member of the Digital Frontiers Institute in South Africa and the Financial Inclusion Forum Africa. He has authored eight (8) scholarly articles and publications in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of African Business, Journal of Value-Based Leadership, International Journal of Business and Systems Research, Journal of Leadership and Governance, and the African Journal of Economics and Management Studies, among others.
His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to lifelong learning. Ohempon began his education at ATECOE Demonstration School and continued at Atebubu Senior High School in 1996. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in Marketing from Sunyani Technical University in 2003 and later earned an MBA in Management at European University, and received the first place award for the highest achievement in the Master’s program (2007/2008 academic year, CGPA=3.90/4.00).
He has also studied at the University of Ghana, the Digital Frontiers Institute in collaboration with the Fletcher School at Tufts University, the Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin, MIT Sloan, and Harvard Business School Online. Over the years, he has earned a Certificate in Digital Money, a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Marketing [PGD], an MIT Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation, a Master of Business Administration [MBA], a Master of Philosophy [MPhil], and the Harvard Business School Online Credential of Readiness [CORe]. He obtained his doctorate degree in strategic leadership and innovation from Concordia University Chicago, USA, in 2024. Ohempon is blessed with a supportive wife, Ohempon Yere Anita Yeboah Asiamah, and four children.
